Orthognathic surgery
A life-changing transformation
In complex dentofacial deformities, it is sometimes necessary to operate on both jaws in order to achieve a result that combines function, stability and facial harmony.
In this case, preparation was carried out through orthodontic decompensation, followed by bimaxillary orthognathic surgery: a Le Fort I osteotomy of the maxilla, mandibular ramus osteotomies of the lower jaw and an advancement genioplasty.
The goal: to establish an adequate relationship between the jaws, improve occlusal function and achieve greater facial and smile harmony.
8 years of follow-up.
A result that allows us to assess not only the initial change, but also its evolution and long-term stability.
